What is the working principle of the common vane pump and gear pump? What are the characteristics?

Pumps are available in a variety of sources, primarily for the transport of liquids such as water, oil, acid and alkali, emulsions, suspoemulsions and liquid metals, as well as liquids, gas mixtures and liquids containing suspended solids. In this article, Dalan Motor's small series will focus on the working principle and performance characteristics of the vane pump and Gear Pump that we often use.

In this article, Dalan Motor's small series will focus on the working principle and performance characteristics of the vane pump and gear pump that we often use.

Vane pump

According to the type, it is divided into:

1. Specially refers to the vane pump in the volumetric pump.

2. Refers to the three pumps of the power pump (centrifugal pump, mixed flow pump, axial flow pump) or other special pumps.

According to whether the theoretical displacement per revolution is a fixed value or a variable value, it can be divided into:

1. Vane type variable pump.

2. Vane type quantitative pump.

Blade pump performance characteristics:

1. Advantages:

1The output flow is evener than the gear pump, the operation is stable and the noise is small.

2 The working pressure is higher and the volumetric efficiency is also higher.

3 Single-acting vane pump is easy to adjust the flow rate, and the double-acting vane pump is balanced by the radial fluid pressure of the rotor and has a long service life.

4 compact structure, small outline size and large flow.

2, disadvantages:

1The self-priming performance is worse than that of the gear pump, and the oil suction condition is stricter. The speed range must be

In the range of 500-1500 r/min.

2 It is sensitive to oil pollution, and the blade is easily killed by impurities in the oil, and the work reliability is poor.

3 The structure is more complicated, the manufacturing precision of the parts is higher, and the price is higher.

4 vane pumps are generally used in medium pressure (6.3 MPa) hydraulic systems, mainly for machine tool control, especially double-acting vane pumps, which are widely used in precision machine tools because of low flow pulsation.

Gear pump

The teeth of the two gears of the gear pump are separated from each other to form a low pressure, the liquid is sucked in, and the other two gears are closed to each other to form a high pressure to discharge the liquid.

Gear pump performance characteristics:

1. Advantages:

1The structure is simple and compact, the volume is small, the quality is light, the processability is good, and the price is cheap;

2 Self-suction is strong and not sensitive to oil pollution;

3 Large speed range, impact resistant load, easy maintenance and reliable operation.

2, disadvantages:

1 radial force imbalance, large flow artery, large noise, low efficiency;

2 The parts are poorly interchangeable and are not easy to repair after wear. They cannot be used as variable pumps.
